The Warrior's Soul — Episode 3 of 6
JUST WAR AND JIHAD
Ethics for Killing Project
OVERVIEW
In this episode, I address the question warriors ask me most: Is what I did OK? Not about the law, but about what God thinks. Drawing from experiences in the Battle of Mogadishu, I explore Just War Theory from Augustine and Aquinas, along with the Islamic concept of the greater Jihad, the internal battle of the soul. Through honest accounts of split-second decisions involving child soldiers and human shields, this episode reveals the spiritual cost of taking life in combat and points to God's grace for redemption when the past cannot be undone.
